The Kansas Supreme Court upheld George LaMae's first degree murder and meth charges while overturning Thomas Finley's verdicts. Finley gets a new district court trial after the court found the prosecutor improperly pressured a key defense witness and made improper closing remarks. Sklar, Finley's girlfriend, did not testify as prosecutors weighed refiled murder charges against her. The ruling preserves LaMae's conviction and rejects Finley's other challenges and the DEA chemical handling issue was addressed.
