Thousands evacuated across six counties as record rain continued. In Santa Paula 4,000 people fled floods and an embanked Santa Paula Creek flooded the town’s east end. Evacuations occurred in the Fillmore area and Ojai Valley as rivers and a creek rose. Emergency relief centers were set up by the Red Cross in Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange and San Luis Obispo counties.
