In Maine, Democratic caucuses produced a near tie with Tsongas at 29.5 percent and Brown at 29.3 percent. Brown claimed a decisive momentum boost while Tsongas faced a setback as Clinton trailed in third and other candidates lagged behind.
Douglas County Clerk Patty Jaimes will extend registration hours and operate special sites to increase primary turnout for the April 7 election.
