Kansas University may seek bids for a satellite union on campus as early as this summer after the state architect approved using the original 1968 drawings with cost reducing modifications. January Sales Tax Receipts Vary Across Counties
Douglas County posted $506,672.01 in January sales tax, up from $495,596.77 a year earlier, while statewide January collections fell to $22.9 million from $23.9 million. Lawrence set to approve 12.5 million Quaker Oats bond plan
Lawrence city commissioners are poised to pass a resolution authorizing 12.5 million dollars in industrial revenue bonds for a Quaker Oats Co pet food plant in the Santa Fe Industrial Subdivision.
