Approximately 1,400 donors contributed 32849.70 to the Greater University Fund at the University of Kansas with months left in the charter year. Ray Evans, Kansas City, chairman of the fund advisory board, said gifts range from 1 to several thousand dollars and support scholarships, loans, housing, research, and other needs beyond state appropriations. Chancellor Franklin D. Murphy praised alumni loyalty and noted many gifts are unrestricted and invested in future KU students.
