Lawrence police charge Fowler in private property destruction
Donald I. Fowler Jr., 19, of 412 Locust, was arrested on a warrant for destruction of private property after an argument on February 5. He posted a $500 bond and is accused of ransacking an apartment occupied by Juli H. Catt and Cynthia S. Gibler. Sherry Weems, said to be with him, was arreste d for alleged battery and is out on bond. Also noted is Cynthia Parker, a fall dean's list student at Anderson College.

Youth dies in Camden house fire
An eight month old boy named David Wise was killed when a six room home in Camden Ray County burned Sunday afternoon. The sitter rescued two older brothers Johnny age three and Richard age two as authorities investigate the fatal blaze.

Gen Rogers to pay cost of shoe trip overflight
