Harry R. Wagner aged 61 died at his home in Douglas county after a brief illness. Born in Centre county Pennsylvania on March 14 1807 he moved to the area as a youth and lived here since. He held posts in the fire department and was a former Ford employee and Overland dealer. At death he served as secretary treasurer of the Lawrence council of United Commercial Travelers and was with Chevrolet. Survived by wife daughter and two grandchildren. Funeral arrangements to be announced.

The 137th Infantry of the Kansas National Guard will conduct a two night Federal inspection in Lawrence next Thursday and Friday. Major French and Colonel Brown will represent the Federal government and Kansas Guard.
