Judge delays Harding case amid push to preserve Olympic hopes

Clackamas County Circuit Judge Patrick Gilroy urged Tonya Harding and the U S Olympic Committee to resolve their dispute over a disciplinary hearing to avoid disrupting the Winter Games. Veteran actor William Conrad dies at 73

Los Angeles AP reports veteran actor William Conrad died Friday of a heart attack at the Medical Center of North Hollywood. He was 73 and starred as J L Fatman McCabe on Jake and the Fatman, headlined Cannon, originated Marshal Matt Dillon on Gunsmoke radio, and narrated many TV programs including The Fugitive and Rocky and His Friends. His deep voice lent narration to The Invaders and other series during the 1960s.
