County Receives Large Federal Aid Road Check
A federal aid road check for 780 722.53 was received Thursday by the county treasurer. The four mile stretch of highway 7BW south of Lawrence is for federal aid project 27pC. The total federal and state aid for the project reaches about 61 000 dollars, with 34 000 federal aid and 27 000 state aid. The contract price was around 126 000 dollars. Fifty percent of the cost is federal aid, 23 percent state aid, and the remaining 25 percent is split among the county, township, and benefit district.
