World Record Claimed For Ocean Freediving
Robert Croft, 32, an instructor at the Navy submarine school in New London, plunged two miles off Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to 212 feet 7 inches, diving two minutes six seconds without breathing apparatus and wearing a rubber suit. Allen Named City Attorney In Milton For Two Years

City Traffic Crash Reported in Downtown Intersection
Police logged a Tuesday afternoon collision at the 9th and Tenn. streets intersection. No injuries were reported. Vehicles in the wreck were driven by Robert A. Lutz, 20, of 1621 Edgehill Rd., and Charles G. Sanders, 62, of 545 N. 3rd St. Damages were $180 to Lutz’s car and $130 to Sanders’ car.

Robert Green of 514 Frontier reported a watch worth eighty dollars and a Masonic ring valued at eighty five dollars stolen from a locker in Robinson Gymnasium between eight and nine thirty Monday. Teresa Phillips of 2339 Westchester said her raincoat worth twenty five dollars was taken from a restroom in Strong Hall on Monday. She left the coat in the room and returned to find it missing.
