Investers testify in Hershberger oil fraud trial in Wichita
In Topeka AP coverage two witnesses, Stanley Gegen and Paul Barry Jr., said they invested $208,400 in waterflood oil leases linked to Wichita oilman James W. Hershberger and Petroleum Energy Inc. Leases claimed as waterfloods were often not owned by PEI or not converted, with further testimony from James D. Mattingly of Central Energy and pumper Mark Connell about alleged illegal oil transfers and threats surrounding Hershberger. Dahl cooperates with prosecutors in exchange for testimony.
