School district back to square one on storage space
Lawrence public schools face a setback after the Riverfront Plaza Factory Outlets sold to a group led by the Lawrence Journal-World owners. The district sought about 100000 square feet for offices and storage, but the price and quick sale attracted private investors. Fiegel and the city consider options including a western Lawrence warehouse or building anew, while Tanger Factory Outlet Center remains less attractive.
