Living Nativity overcomes ice storm in 23rd annual run
The Living Nativity completed its 23rd year despite an ice storm with 60 to 70 volunteers. Holy Family and shepherds rotated performances, lambs drew crowds, and organizers expect a 25th anniversary with possible special events while weather and attendance planning continue.

Baldwin High grad becomes USMC CH-46 pilot
Baldwin High School graduate 1st Lt. Bryan Hill earned his wings in a summer ceremony and now flies a CH-46 helicopter with the United States Marines. He completes helicopter training and serves as officer in charge of the squadron’s computer section at Camp Lejeune North Carolina. He is the son of John and Marilyn Hill of Baldwin City and graduated in 1986.

Bird Lady keeps birds in season and heart
