On January 30 1998 the fishing boat La Conte battles 60 knot winds 30 foot seas near the Fairweather Grounds Gulf of Alaska. Five crew bail a sinking vessel after a rogue wave. An unregistered EPIRB triggers Coast Guard alert as they leap for safety. To be continued Monday.
