Lawrence homicide tally shows 2017 as unusual year
The Lawrence area faced four homicides in 2017 outside the city limits, including Eudora’s infant death ruled homicide by blunt force trauma and three Lawrence/Topeka area cases. Key incidents include a June 24 shooting at D Dubs Bar and Grill in Eudora, an August 13 double homicide in rural Lawrence, a September 2 Motel 6 shooting in North Lawrence, and a September 19 doorway shooting on West 27th Terrace.
