The United States said it will pay the $120000 in fines for four U S airmen if they are released promptly. Acting U S diplomat George Abbott conveyed the pledge under State Department instructions. Five children died in a Wichita Kansas Christmas night fire that destroyed a four room home. Three girls Maybelle six Mary five Emma three perished and brothers Johnnie nine Arches two died later in hospital.
