She Winds Chitra: Erol. By Kate Douglas Wiggin
A nostalgic excerpt from a Kate Douglas Wiggin tale describing a child Carol Bird and her cozy Christmas preparations. Uncle Jack plans a joyful English visit with a trunk of treasures, a begging for a large Christmas tree, turkey, and a blue pudding. The letter from London invites Christmas cheer and a playful domestic scene.
