Floyd S. Mains, 27, Garnett, was listed in fairly good condition at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after his truck crashed on the Kansas Turnpike two miles west of West Lawrence. He was pinned under the cab for more than 30 minutes amid a snowstorm, suffering a shoulder separation plus cuts and bruises. The wheat hauler struck a similar truck, slid on slick pavement, toppled from a bridge railing, and left the rear trailer on the bridge with the forward section on the ground.
