Docking Proposes Bond Finance for 393 Million Highway Plan
Gov. Robert Docking outlined a 393 million dollar highway program to be financed by bonds rather than new taxes. The plan covers 612 miles of roads including 206 miles of tollways, with funding expectations from highway revenue growth and tolls by 1985. He argued early construction could save costs and would not raise fuel or vehicle fees.
