County to fund full time peer outreach for homelessness group
Douglas County commissioners consider authorizing an extra 36000 to convert Artists Helping the Homeless peer outreach from part time to full time. The 2025 budget already included 412686 for the nonprofit and 376686 for two housing projects plus 36000 for the position. The Homeless Response Team would supervise the outreach worker and directly assist people experiencing homelessness.

Convicted killer given six more months for threat
