Lansing Kansas December 18 two escapees from the Kansas state prison power plant were recaptured in Soda Springs Idaho. Rodger Talmadge 28 of Miami Oklahoma and Ray Dean Huff 21 of Junction City Kansas were returned to the prison yesterday. Talmadge had been sentenced December 12 1941 in Reno county to 10 to 20 years for burglary and larceny under the habitual criminal act. Off was received May 1 from Morris county to serve 10 to 30 for grand larceny under the habitual criminal act.

Mrs. Clare Wilson of Pawhuska Oklahoma was severely hurt when her 1946 Chevrolet collided at Ninth and Rhode Island with a 1946 Pontiac driven by Mrs. R J Stevens of Ottawa. Wilson, her eight year old son, and wife were in the car. Wilson was taken to Lawrence Memorial hospital with a severely wrenched back and bruises. Police reports list minor injuries to Wilson’s wife and extensive car damage. Buddy Rogers arrived in Kansas City to assist navy recruiting after piloting his own plane from Cincinnati.
