Kansas officials project farm income will exceed one billion dollars for 1959 marking a second consecutive year above the threshold. Final 1959 figures due March will confirm largest sorghum harvest on record at 137,072,000 bushels and a wheat output of 296,548,000 bushels with a record 28 bushels per acre.

Prosecutors allege the University of Kansas student planned the killings for months to inherit the 250 acre Andrews farm valued at $48,000. More than 2 500 youths are expected at the eighth Bromersick Christmas Party at 1 30 p.m. Saturday in Hoch Auditorium, Kansas University. Objections should be written to the 1800 Federal Building Kansas City Missouri. Austin Stedham says the line will link Lawrence Cameron Bluff station with KPL Tecumseh station as part of a 1 8 million expansion in the area.

Raymond L. Nichols of 1617 Ala. St a KU senior and Gerald George a Wichita University student from Salina are Kansas nominees in the Rhodes scholarship competition to be held in Des Moines Iowa. The Rhodes grant covers about 2000 dollars yearly for at least two years study at Oxford. Twelve candidates from six states competed with Nichols and George among the finalists.
The article notes that Dr. Jose wins a Rhodes scholarship and Nichols will travel to Europe in January. Last summer Hal Hovey, a Harvard graduate student, and Nichols were named to the American College Debate Team by the International Education Institute. The two represent a biannual national team touring English universities for two months to debate multiple topics weekly.
