Art project would add interactive pieces to LMH children wing
Lawrence Memorial Hospital's pediatric wing may gain a $40,000 Percent for Art installation after the Lawrence Arts Commission unanimously backed the project proposed by artist Stephen Johnson. The plan features intergenerational books, a robot sculpture mural with moving parts, and a display to engage children and families throughout the corridor. The project, installed in memory of Sally Hersh, awaits city commission approval at the next meeting.
