Thirteen KU Students Sail With 117th Ammunition Train
Thirteen University of Kansas men form the KU Club within the 117th Ammunition Train of the 42nd Division overseas in France. Herman Lorenz, ex KU physical education instructor, serves as first lieutenant in the 167th Infantry. Capt William B. Baker and the private are the only two KU men in the Kansas Ammunition Train. Two members hail from Kansas City Missouri. The remainder come from Rainbow Division regiments. R F Curry of Caisson Company No 2 was discharged for disability and is now in Lawrence. Death of Pioneer Resident Dodds at 80
Joseph C. Dodds of 903 Alabama Street died yesterday morning at almost eighty. A Lawrence and Douglas County pioneer, he leaves a wife and three sons. Funeral at his home tomorrow at ten, officiated by Rev. Everett D. Smith and Rev. Thomas Maughlin. burial in Clay Center.

Bandmen Meet Tonight to Form City Band

Edith an eight year old girl was accidentally shot in the abdomen while sitting in a chair yesterday afternoon.
