Firefighters contained a blaze that destroyed sheep and cattle holding pens on the Union stockyards western edge. Free Wrapping Service Opens Next Tuesday at 733 Massachusetts
The Merchants Bureau of the Chamber of Commerce sponsors a free wrapping service to open Tuesday December 15 at the gas office 733 Massachusetts street. Lawrence Leigh will run the station with hours through Christmas. A post office employee will assist on Wednesday and Railway Express Agency hopes to place a mar to handle express packages. The station wraps packages safely, supplies address labels, and staffs experienced workers to give proper care. In past years the station was popular with more than 5 000 packages handled last season and helps relieve congestion at the post office and express office.
