Little Symphony Opens Season with Varied Program
The Little Symphony Orchestra directed by Dean Thomas Gorton performed in Swarthout Recital Hall. A Handel Festive Overture opened the set followed by Mozart's oboe clarinet bassoon horn concerto. The second half featured Vaughan Williams Three Preludes, St Denio Scherzo, Aberystwyth Variations, and Jacques Ibert Divertissement. Audience reaction was warm and humorous pieces drew smiles.
