IRS posts not to send tax payments to old mailboxes
The IRS says from January 1 payments mailed to IRS Post Office Boxes in Atlanta or St Louis will be returned to senders since those boxes were closed in 2012. The notice consolidates that payments must go to current addresses to ensure proper processing.
