Menard plant incentive package urged for Lawrence site
The Public Incentives Review Committee recommended city aid for Menard Inc to build a 25 million manufacturing campus in Venture Park Lawrence. The package totals about 2.3 million and includes a 10 year 50 percent property tax abatement a 549 350 grant paid over 10 years and a bulk warehouse valued at 285 963 provided at no cost. Douglas County may add a 200 000 grant over 10 years.
