McLouth Youth Severely Injured in Wreck Near Lyndon
William George, 18, of McLouth, was listed in fair condition at Stormont Vail Hospital after a Sunday night car-truck collision at the U S 75 and K 268 junction two miles north of Lyndon. He suffered a severe fracture of the upper left leg and underwent surgery.

Linwood Youth Warren Williams Dies in Tank One Car Crash
Funeral services for Warren F. Williams 21 Linwood are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Alden Harrington and Sons Chapel Bonner Springs. Burial will be in Ottawa cemetery after a one car crash on K-32 near Bonner Springs. Williams served 21 months in Vietnam and completed a two year Navy tour before returning to Linwood. He was born in Chelsea Massachusetts and lived in Linwood 13 years. He worked for Eby Construction Co Sunflower Village. Man Injured in One Car Wreck on Kansas Turnpike
Terry L. Scribner a 21 year old from Eudora was treated and released at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a one car accident on the Kansas Turnpike two miles west of the West Lawrence interchange. He lost control on a wet roadway, the car overturned into a ditch causing head lacerations and $2500 damage. A second collision on U.S. 59 near Lawrence injured two Osawatomie residents but their injuries were minor. Mary L. Cramer 17 and Kathleen M. Howard 15 declined treatment after their 1959 vehicle was destroyed and Rex E. Edwards 49 suffered damage to his vehicle.
