Dear D F L explains a wife who hides drinking at home but drinks at parties. The advice notes forcing help rarely works and suggests waiting until she seeks aid, then recommending A A. It also offers Ann Landers booklet on marriage with a small fee and return envelope.
4 H Club and HDU members host Christmas gatherings with potlucks, gift exchanges, and Bible verse roll calls. Pleasant Valley, Riverside, and Topeka State Hospital support gifts and mental health donations. Officers sworn in, achievement day honors noted, and 1965 lesson leaders chosen. January meeting planned with Mrs Delmer Hildebrand.
The November Kanwaka 4-H Club gathered 28 members and 5 leaders. Virginia Wulfkuhle affixed the purple seal to the charter. The program included singing led by Charlotte Hubbard, a soybean planting talk by Jerry Breithaupt, an eggs for freezing demo by Judy and Connie Robertson, parliamentary procedure on the agenda by Virginia Wulfkuhle, and a flute solo by Lance Willits. Recreation was by the Don Buchanan family with refreshments from the George Alexander and Eben Farley families.
