Col Rexroad Dies After Varied Careers in State
Col Guy C Rexroad veteran of the Kansas National Guard and Army died in Hutchinson at 77 after two years of illness. He served in five major battles in France, commanded a machine gun company on the Mexican border, and held roles from high school principal to state senator. He directed the Kansas penal system and served as warden at Lewisburg federal prison before retiring in 1954. He leaves a widow Mabel two sons Judge James H Rexroad and Bill Rexroad four brothers and three grandchildren. Funeral plans incomplete.
