Napkin rings worth thousands and mix of folk figures
A guide to antique napkin rings notes their 19th century popularity among middle class families. Elaborate figural rings in silver plate offered shapes from dogs to cupids and even wheeled carts with salt and pepper shakers. Prices today run from hundreds to thousands of dollars. the text also recalls a vintage hatchet souvenir linked to Carry Nation and a stuffed cat with a Dick Clark tag.
