North Lawrence fire traced to discarded cigarette
A North Lawrence two story rental house at 336 Elm St sustained about 48000 dollars in damage after a discarded cigarette started a fire on the front porch. Fire officials reported a second, west Lawrence blaze at 545 Columbia Drive soon after. The vacant building housed Keller Williams Next Gen Hearing Movement Mortgage and Lawrence Dental Solutions, with repairs expected to take weeks.
