Kansas to renew KanCare contract with Maximus terms
KDHE will not seek liquidated damages and plans a new contract with Maximus that lowers standards and eases enforcement. Andersen said concessions total about 10 million, with renewal chosen over a new search given time. Critics fear paying more for doing less while costs and backlog trends improve. The next administration can cancel with 30 days notice.
