Trailer Detaches and Rides Wall on Lawrence Bridge
Motorists faced delays crossing the Kansas River Bridge in Lawrence as a dual axle trailer detached from its vehicle and rode up the east wall of the southbound span. Police reported minor scuffing, no damage or injuries, and said the call was treated as a motorist assist, possibly becoming a crash report.

Tonda Hill named to Kansas Commission on Judicial Conduct
Lawrence attorney Tonda Hill appointed by the Kansas Supreme Court to the 14 member Commission on Judicial Conduct. Hill, Wyandotte County prosecutor, placed second in a Democratic primary where Dakota Loomis unseated Suzanne Valdez. Douglas County to hear K-State Extension funding talk
Douglas County commissioners will hear a work session presentation from the K-State Research and Extension council detailing its history funding sources and county support.
