Funeral services for John C Northrup who died Sunday were held at the home at 10:30 this morning. Rev Kelsall conducted the services with a choir including Mr and Mrs Cherchill Mrs Arnett and Mr Charles McCoy. The G A R handled graveside prayers as numerous floral tributes testified to the respect for Mr Northrup.
Vernie Walker of Baldwin died yesterday in this city from consumption at age twenty three. Funeral services were held today in Baldwin. Mr and Mrs George Reineke of Fort Worth Texas are the parents of a daughter born Monday. The Reinekes are former Lawrence residents.
