Abortion suit moves in Kansas as critics hinge on court
Bob Hanson spokesman for Praeger cannot comment until the insurance department’s legal division reviews the suit. Kansas antiabortion foes praise recent legislative wins under Gov. Sam Brownback while new laws tighten late term procedures, clinic safety rules, and parental consent for minors. Kansans for Life director Kathy Ostrowski says she has not seen the ACLU action yet and blames zealots for pushing abortion funding. She adds hopes the liberal state supreme court will block advances seen elsewhere.
