Ted O'Sullivan Dies at City Hospital
Ted O'Sullivan, widely known former athlete and official, died Aug 1 in City Hospital after entering in April. A Missouri graduate who starred in football and basketball, he captained the Missouri Tigers in 127 and earned a popular athlete trophy. He coached in Kansas City and at De LaSalle military academy, later moving to insurance brokerage. He officiated sports, including the Orange Bowl in 193, the 148 Olympic basketball playoffs, and the 149 national AAU tournament. He served as an Army lieutenant in World War I. Survivors include his widow, Mrs Florence O'Sullivan.
