A 30 minute black and white film about Achievement Place in Lawrence shows six to eight pre delinquent boys and the home’s point based reinforcement system. The film, funded by a National Institute of Mental Health grant to KU professor Montrose M. Wolf, follows a day at the home and its privileges earned by good behavior. Man Jailed for Auto Theft in Lawrence
Delbert Lloyd Black, 19, of 760 Lyons St, charged with car theft and held on $1,500 bond. Preliminary hearing set for 11 a.m. Wednesday in County Court. Police report vandals scrawled a hate phrase on Mrs. George Latham’s porch at 945 Indiana Street and noted three thefts plus a suspicious ride offer to three girls ages 11 to 15.
