Eagles Hand Elks Bouquet Of Roses In Twilight League

The Elk Knot Holers beat the Eagles 6 to 1 to move closer to the Junior Twilight League championship. After a 2-2 tie through four innings, Oss held the Elks hitless until a misplayed ball by Skeeter Stevenson sparked a two-run fifth. Errors plagued the Eagles, who managed seven miscues to one by the Elks while contributing two runs in the fourth. Ray Snow and Zeke Burton were noted pitchers, with the Eagles slipping on another crucial miscue that opened the door for a late rally. The All Stars head to Kansas City Sunday to face the Old American in their park.
