Kansas sees little impact from Russia food ban
Kansas Agriculture Department official J J Jones says Russia's food import ban will hit Russia harder than Kansas farmers. He notes Kansas sells over 50 million dollars in ag products to Russia yearly, mainly soybeans and breeding cattle, with recent shipments totaling 15 million for soybeans in the first half of this year. Analysts say U S markets should absorb the shift, as Russia has long restricted or banned numerous products.
