Gov Brownback Laffer to headline Kansas tax cut forum
Gov Sam Brownback and economist Arthur Laffer will headline a Kansas Small Business Forum to discuss how 2013 tax cuts benefit businesses. The event runs 1 p.m. to 4 30 p.m. Tuesday at Capitol Federal Conference Center, Regnier Center, Johnson County Community College Overland Park. Three arrested after string of burglaries in Hutchinson
In Hutchinson three suspects were jailed after a spree of 15 burglaries starting April 10. Targets included a convenience store seven churches and Hutchinson High School. Prosecutors charged Justin Branscom 24 and Tyler Schmucker 19 with multiple burglary criminal damage trespass and theft counts. A 16 year old faces similar charges.
