Eudora Woman Faces False Statement Charge in Social Security Case
Federal prosecutors charged Sheery Lynn Regalado with making a false statement to the Social Security Administration claiming her husband did not live with her while living together. The complaint allege she received about 61000 in disability benefits from 1992 to 2003 by concealing her living arrangement.

Two Lawrence Burglaries Reported With Forced Entries
Two aggravated burglaries occurred Tuesday morning in Lawrence with forced entry into sleeping residents' homes. In the first case on Illinois Street a male resident saw a black man in his 20s flee after turning on his light at 4:30 am. in the Maine Street break in an 84-year-old woman woke to a forced door at about 5:30 am and called 911. No items were taken. Police have not yet linked these to prior unlocked-door cases and investigators continue reviewing similarities with other burglaries. Kenneth Brooks Jr. remains jailed awaiting trial on earlier similar charges.
