Mrs Rebecca Harvey a longtime Douglas County resident died this morning at her farm home near Sibley aged in the nineties. The funeral will be held Thursday at Fairview Methodist Church with Rev G N Jackson of Lawrence and Rev J N Gordos pastor of Fairview conducting. A fuller life sketch appears tomorrow.
Gen March told the Senate military committee the War Department aims to raise about 5,000,000 troops as soon as possible under a manpower bill extending drafts ages to 45. He said Congress need not be recalled before the August recess if the bill is exported in time.
