Lebanese Flower brings Middle Eastern street food to Lawrence
Hani Chahine and family opened the Lebanese Flower at 1016 Massachusetts St offering falafel shawarma hummus and other dishes from their homeland. The late-night window operates 5 p m to midnight Monday Tuesday and 7 p m to 3 a m Wednesday through Saturday adjacent to Fatso's Public House. Chahine relocated from Abu Dhabi to Lawrence in 2001 and says the cafe aims to share their culture with locals despite the region's shift after 9/11.
