In Rappahannock Virginia on April 28 LP P. D. Kelly 41 sacrificed his life to save his 16 year old son Donald. Despite a broken ankle in a plaster cast Kelly stayed submerged to keep his boy's head above water until a row boat arrived. Donald's fishing line tangled in his father's clothing aided rescuers who found Kelly's body ten feet deep. The boy said his father did not survive but pushed him up to save him.
