New Cancer Support Group Forming in Douglas County
A joint effort by Lawrence Memorial Hospital and the American Cancer Society forms a new Cancer Support Group in Douglas County. It meets the first Wednesday monthly at 5 30 p m in LMH 325 Maine with the Oncology Center waiting room as the first meeting location. The open group supports patients caregivers and families affected by any cancer. Liv Frost LMH social worker emphasizes survivorship goals and quality of life. For more information contact Frost at 505 2807. Douglas County prosecutors charged a 30 year old Kansas City Missouri man in the March 23 robbery of a Lawrence woman. Jacob Paul Forbes was brought to the Douglas County Jail on a warrant to face one count of aggravated robbery for the theft of a 15 inch silver MacBook Pro valued at 2500 in the 2100 block of Rhode Island Street. Forbes posted 15000 bond and has a court date May 9.
