Penn State hosts first women in Army ROTC program
At Penn State a new five year test of women in Army ROTC begins with five of 45 coeds dropping out, but scholars show high marks. Women hold six of 20 new ROTC scholarships valued around 11000 each. The program aims to evaluate expansion to other campuses and equal opportunities while noting Air Force and Navy already open to women.
