CenterPoint Energy to acquire Vectren in $6 billion deal
CenterPoint Energy to buy Vectren for 72 per share in cash, valuing the merger around 6 billion and creating a combined company serving over 7 million customers across the United States. Houston based CenterPoint to lead with Scott Prochazka as potential CEO. The merger, expected to close in Q1 2019, will keep Vectren’s Indiana electric and Evansville gas units under CenterPoint.
