James F. Marvin 44 of Minneapolis died Friday afternoon. A Minnesota University faculty member for 24 years as a nuclear physicist he had been ill since December 1959. He is survived by his wife and five children at home. His brother is Kansas University Dean Burton W. Marvin. Funeral services are planned for Monday in Minneapolis.

Two people suffered minor injuries in a two car crash just before noon at 13th and NY Streets. Sue E. Roe age 64 of Route 1 Eudora and Jona Peter Yoder age 58 of 1307 Oakhill Road were the drivers. Police termed the damage major. A separate Friday afternoon crash at 21st and Naismith injured no one. Patricia Morrison age 18 of 500 West 11th Street and Dorothy Porter age 38 of 1218 NY Street had major damage. One person, Mrs. Helen Lindsey age 58 of 2230 Mass Street, suffered cuts and bruises in a Massachusetts Street crash but did not require hospitalization. She rode with Adrian H. Lindsey age 4 of 2238 Mass Street in a collision with James Schrader age 18 of 1420 West 18th Street.
Memorial Hospital lists dismissals for Mrs. Lucille Eudaly and Mrs. Wilma Davis. Births reported to Mr. and Mrs. William Neff a daughter today and to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rodriguez a son today. Also names several residents with street addresses in Kentucky Missouri Kansas and Pennsylvania.
AP report notes Kansas Republicans at a convention considered whether to instruct national delegates on the selection of a national committeeman. Harry Darby urged no move while Fred C. Bramlage stated he would not run if he was the sole challenger. Resolutions backing Nixon and Fred Seaton were expected to pass.
The 40th annual Engineering School Exposition capped by an awards banquet at Memorial Stadium will honor KU departments with outstanding displays. Rear Adm. Eugene J. Peltier will speak, as more than 100 attend the ceremony. Exposition crowds near 20,000 with a final 9 p.m. dance in the Union Building Ballroom featuring Jay McShann’s Band.

Hogs show declines with butchers up to 16.85 per cwt and sows lower. Sheep and lambs mix with slaughter lambs up to 1.00 higher and ewes down 50 to 1.00.
The University of Kansas School of Fine Arts presents James Christensen a senior from Carbondale in a Hoch Auditorium organ recital Wednesday. Christensen a Highland Park High School graduate attended Washburn University earning the 1000 Topeka Civic Symphony Scholarship and studied organ with Jerald Hamilton at Washburn and Teel E. Anderson at Kansas University. He belongs to Phi Mu Alpha and has served as choirmaster organist at Central Congregational Church and Highland Park Methodist Church in Topeka.
